Teen’s Money Making Guide
So, you’re on summer vacation and have some time away from school. Getting a summer job might majorly suck, but we have some tips and fabulous teen advice to help you make as much money as possible this summer!
If you don’t already have a high interest savings account – now is the time to get one. Tell your parents you need a high interest savings account, or if you’re old enough to get one yourself, do it ASAP. Then put away as much money as you do not need to spend. Interest will make it grow, so you will basically be getting money for free!
If you have to get teen summer jobs, don’t feel bad about it. Some cool jobs to consider are:
* Cleaning pools – it’s really not that hard once you’re trained, and you get to stand in the pool to cool off (usually if no one’s looking). All you need to do is vacuum the pool floor, scoop the leaves and junk out of the water, replace the chlorine tablets… it’s pretty easy anyways. You’ll get a fabulous tan and toned arms – plus a decent amount of money.
* Working at your favorite clothing store – You’ll get special discounts on clothing, which is great if you need awesome back to school clothes
! Plus, you get to stay cool in an air conditioned store, listen to music (if the store has any playing), and maybe even make some new friends!
* Work at the Zoo! If you love animals – why not? It might be kinda gross to clean up after animals, but what could be better than spending most of your summer at the zoo?! (well, unless you live in the desert)
* An ice cream parlor – you might get a free ice cream at the end of each shift, or at least a discount, depending on the company you work for. Plus you can stay cool and keep the hotties that come in nice and cool with the ice cream they order!
* Summer Camp Counselor – if you love kids – this is the job for you. If you don’t wanna go away from your friends, check and see if there are day camps hiring counselors in your area! That way, you can have fun all day while getting paid, and still hang with your friends at night!
* Lifeguard certified? If you’re a certified lifeguard, or if you can easily get certified – this is one of the perfect jobs. Hanging out by the pool, possibly saving lives, all while getting a nice tan, making friends, keeping people safe, and scoping out the babes!
If you’re too young for a summer job, you can make money online! There are plenty of ways to do this, and for more information you can search on your favorite search engine, like Google, or check out http://www.stunnazine.com/money.html for more information. Happy job hunting!
